Configuration Adtran Bluesocket Devices for Analytics

This article assumes your Adtran Bluesocket APs are already online in an existing network and that your controller is publicly accessible with port 3000 open.

Step One: Adtran Bluesocket Configuration

  1. Login to your Adtran Bluesocket vWLAN controller.
  2. Use the navigation menu to select Configuration > Wireless > AP Templates.
  3. Open the AP Template in use by the APs to be configured for Analytics
  4. Check the box for the setting ‘Scan for Adjacent Wireless Clients’.
  5. Update the AP Template.
  6. Use the Domain Tasks to apply the configuration to the APs.
  7. Use the navigation menu to select Configuration > System > Domains.
  8. Click the domain that contains the APs to be configured for Analytics.
  9. On the page that is loaded, record the digit after /domains/ in the URL.
    This is your Domain ID.

To complete the configuration steps below you will need the following information. If you are a client of the Analytics4WiFi platform please contact support and submit the information information to support so your configuration can be completed.

  1. Adtran Active Domain ID
  2. Adtran Bluesocket vWLAN server public IP
  3. Administrator Username and password with Domain Read-Only permissions.

 

Step Two: Analytics4WiFi Hotspot and Node Configuration

  1. Login to your Analytics4WiFi dashboard.
  2. Use the navigation panel to select Network> Hotspots.
  3. Edit the hotspot that you would like to add the Adtran APs to.
  4. Under the ‘Adtan Server Credentials’ section input the Server Address, username, and password.
  5. Submit the page.
  6. Use the navigation panel to select Network> Nodes.
  7. Click ‘Add Node’ (or Import node)
  8. Create a Node under the correct hotspot for each node you would like to enable reporting for. Use the Domain ID collected in step 1.9 as the ‘Adtran Active Domain ID’.

This guide is for configuring a Adtran Bluesocket domain to the Analytics4WiFi platform.
